To create your own web page you will need to follow the steps below:
Go to My Site Details
Click on the My Web Pages tab at the top the page.
A drop down will show Edit My Pages, click that and it will take to you the next screen where in the Web Page Control Panel you will click on Create New Page (Standard).
Other types of web pages are:
Standard: is for a basic traditional web page.
Contact: is for your contact details if you want people to see them.
Gallery: is for uploading photos for sale or show.
RSS: is for live feeds to your favourite pages. Such as News feeds or Blogs. RSS means: Really Simple Syndication.
The information you will need to fill in once loaded is:
Page Title (what you want to call your site).
Menu Title (eg Handmade Fudge).
In the Edit Page Details - you will set out your site information. Put as much or as little information as you want. You may wish to copy information from a site you already have but wish to include in the Opportunity Dock web site to generate more business for yourself.
You can also insert images to dress up your site and/or to show off the products you may be offering to other readers of your page.
To insert an image or images follow the following steps:
Firstly have all your images saved in a folder where they will be easily found so you can upload them. Position your cursor where you want to place the image/s on the web page.
Click on the Insert/Edit Image button (second button just above your page information).
This will take you to a new window and you will be in the tab Article Image.
In the Browse section of this window click on 'upload' (second last button on the right). This will take you to an upload window, click on browse and you will now be where your images are saved. Select the image you wish to insert in your new web page and click OK. The images will be inserted into the middle section (Type/Name) and placed in alphebetical order.
Select your image, it will then put in the appropriate information relating to the image. Remember not to have your images too big, no bigger than 500 x 500 and 600kb's. Your images can be aligned, from the drop down selection, borders can be added to dress up your images. You can add style and colour to the borders.
Click insert and the image will be inserted into your web page.
If you are not happy with the size and/or position, colour of the border etc click again on the Insert/Edit Imagebutton and make the changes you want.
When you are happy with your web page and images REMEMBER to always click SAVE.
